We are thankful for all the churches and individuals who have faithfully supported our Gospel- preaching ministry in the Limerick area. We pray for much fruit in 2026 as we continue our endeavours. This year, we are pushing forward in doing online advertising, especially because of our lack of visibility at our remote location. I am now trying to use that fact as an advantage, by framing our church as a countryside retreat away from the busy city, in our advertisements. This also lets people who take the bus know that we are not in the city. I have two people who are excited to help me make the videos, so please pray that the Lord continues to draw people in through these advertisements. (Names are changed in our letters for privacy reasons.)
January – As the year began, we began a new theme for 2026, which I titled “Faith and Hope: A Journey Through the Gospels,” based on I Peter 1:21. I will be preaching through the events of Jesus’ life this year. I was also planning to begin a new verse-by-verse Bible study in the book of Proverbs, and I used the opportunity to advertise to the community on Facebook and let people know. It ran for 18 days, had 681 clicks, 14 new contacts, and 1 visitor, a Polish lady named Danielle. I thought she was pretty brave to come to the study, considering the fact that she came alone on a dark Wednesday evening and drove on the narrow, single-lane road up to our church building/house in the woods. She has been fairly faithful in her attendance. Due to the dark evenings, combined with our location, I questioned if we would have any visitors from the advertisement at all, but the Lord brought someone in. Keith II was with us on that Wednesday, and Kelly was sick for the first part of January. Keith II flew back to Crown College on Saturday, the 10th. On the 19th, we received a text that there was a large Northern Lights display in the sky, and we stepped out of our house to witness a brilliant colour display and got some brilliant pictures.
We discovered that Danielle’s birthday was the week of the 28th, so our lovely church lady Lynn took it upon herself to prepare a special birthday cheesecake for her. Danielle was so surprised and delighted. We continue to attend the services in Ennis and Galway every other week.
February – February came with 4 visitors. The first was a couple from western Oregon, an assistant pastor and his wife on vacation. They had received our address from a friend and were wandering our property. I was cleaning our outside bathroom when I suddenly saw them wandering around in our back barn area. They were there for our 10:30 Sunday Bible Class and stayed until 3:00 after our afternoon Bible Hour. The other 2 visitors were an Irish lady and man named Timothy and Sally. They showed up on a Wednesday, and we found out that I had met Sally before and she had just purchased a house on the other side of our hill. On February 11, Danielle brought loads of large Polish donuts for everyone in the Wednesday night Bible study. On February 21, another church in Swords, Co. Dublin, had a Teen Rally, where teens from across the country participated in games, followed by preaching and pizza afterward.
We also finally finished our Sunday Bible class lessons on the Old Testament after 4 years and began doing a discipleship course during that same hour. Before, it ended up being just my family for the last year and a half, but we now have 4 more people attending. On the last weekend of the month, Kelly held a jewellery-making party as a birthday gift to Lynn. Seven ladies ended up coming, and they had a lovely time together. Mrs. Day brought 2 ladies from their Bible study in Ennis, and even Sally came (the lady who recently moved into our area). They all enjoyed the gathering and are hoping to do it again.
Soul Winning – We continue getting the Gospel out on Saturdays, talking to people as we have the opportunity, and letting people in the community know we are in the area and inviting them to join us. Before Danielle came, she told me she was Catholic and wasn't looking to change churches and asked if it was okay if she still came. I told her the studies were open to anyone who wanted to learn the Bible. On the first Wednesday night Danielle came to our Bible study, we had a zealous young man who comes to our Bible studies on occasion. During the study, he was using every opportunity he could to make statements and ask questions concerning the Gospel, and during the service, we played off each other getting the Gospel out over and over throughout the night. Over the weeks, she has heard the Gospel many times, but she is still not open. Please pray that the Lord uses the Word of God to open her heart. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)

November – December '25: Battles, Breakthroughs, and Blessings

I hope you are all having a great 2026 and that you will be encouraged by what the Lord has been doing in our neck of the woods (literally). Below is a record of what happened at the end of 2025 in the Limerick City area.
November – November began with the conclusion of the Ladies’ Fall Getaway, and all of the ladies returned encouraged and excited for next year. On Saturday, November 6, Gospel Baptist Church in Lucan, Co. Dublin, hosted a Teen Rally, and it seemed there were about 40 teens who came out for it. We got to bring 3 with us, travelling 2½ hours to get there, but the preaching and activities were an encouragement to everyone.
During this month, I focused on getting the online advertising platform (Digital Tract Ministry) sorted because the Devil was fighting, and we kept running into problems. It seemed like a good solution to our location being out on the countryside, so I kept trying to make it work, but the Devil has fought it all the way. The first battle was getting things set up correctly. I can’t get into all the details, but the biggest issue for Ireland was that the platform uses internet phone numbers through Twilio, and Twilio is not available in Ireland. Since WhatsApp is available, we would be advertising through Facebook (who owns WhatsApp), and many people in Ireland use WhatsApp; we chose that route and tried to get everything set up. I was planning to have a Christmas Eve Carol Service and to read a salvation Christmas Story called “Nothing to Give for Christmas.” The story takes place in the Alps at Christmastime and was read yearly at the Roloff-type boarding school that my wife attended as a teenager. I was really wanting to have a big push, and with our lack of manpower, I was hopeful that this online platform would be a great help in getting people out to the service. At the end of the month, many of the missionaries gathered together for a Thanksgiving dinner in Athlone at Redemption Baptist Church. We also had a tree surgeon cutting 16 very large trees on our property because of the big winter wind storms last year, and they were all next to buildings. This was a financially astronomical, but needed, endeavour.
December – I tried to get everything sorted for the advertising, and I texted one of our ladies to see if she would be willing to create an advertisement for the Christmas Eve Service, which she agreed to do. The Devil intervened again when the lady thought I wanted her to make her own video, but I was planning to record it that next Sunday and just wanted to see if she would be willing. She almost didn’t come to church that next Sunday because she thought she had let me down and couldn’t face me. Thankfully, she didn’t follow her emotions. When she discovered that I had it all ready to record on Sunday, she was delighted, and her daughter made a video as well. I edited them and got the videos uploaded and the Facebook ad set up and ready to go. Soon after on Saturday, the 13th, Keith II returned home from Bible college. Then on Sunday afternoon, we went to Grace Baptist Church’s evening service in Galway, and they also treated everyone to pizza to celebrate Keith’s return. We stayed overnight to use a free hotel night to stay over and to go to the Christmas Market.
On the next day, Monday, the advert was supposed to start running, and by 11:00 a.m., we already had 10 people signed up to come to the Christmas Eve Service. We had a lovely time in Galway and returned home with only a week to get everything on our property ready for the Christmas Eve Service. The other problem was that the tree surgeons had left a large mess in addition to its being mud season, so we had an incredible number of preparations to do to make things welcoming for our visitors. By the Sunday before Christmas Eve, we had 35 people signed up, only 15 parking spaces, and no road parking. There was no guarantee these people would come, but if all of them came as single people, we could not fit them all. The church people worked together to prepare 35 visitor packets. A new road sign and banner sign for the doorway arrived just in time, so that was a relief. Because I was concerned about the number of people who had signed up to attend, I called a hotel, but they closed on Christmas Eve at 6:00 p.m. I also contacted a local meeting hall and never received a reply, so we had no other options but the building on our property. When Christmas Eve arrived, we had 42 people signed up, so I had the church people park as far back on the property as they could. Suddenly, I was getting texts that people were in the hospital. One lady broke her ribs and couldn’t come. Some didn’t have transportation, and others just never responded to follow-up texts after they signed up. We were supposed to start at 6:00 p.m., but we waited outside until 6:20 to greet visitors, but none came. As soon as we went inside, I got a phone call from people asking if we were having the service. They told me they had driven up to the property and then driven to the back, but because there were no cars, they left. They asked if the service had already started. I told them that we were just about to start and they were welcome, but they said they decided to just head home and then hung up. I then asked Kelly to wait outside, because I needed to get started, and thankfully, I did because 10 minutes later, another car pulled up with 4 visitors, and she was able to guide them to parking. We were told that because of the winter darkness on our road, people found it very difficult to find, even with GPS. 
Despite all the spiritual opposition, it was a great night. I was concerned about boredom during the story, but as I sat in a living room chair and read with a crackling fire on the TV screen, everyone listened intently. We ended up having 5 first-time visitors that night and 40 total whom we made direct contact with online. The Day family and one of their church people helped as well in a tremendous way. On New Year’s Eve, we had our regular Bible study and then a Watch Night Service with games, prizes, praise times, hymns, and Creation videos; and then we prayed in the New Year together.
Soul Winning – In addition to getting the Gospel out on Saturdays and handing out a couple hundred of our new Christmas tracts, which Bro. Andrew Canavan graciously customised for us. Next year, I want to create Christmas packets to hand out to businesses and checkout workers. Our Christmas Eve visitors got to hear the Gospel clearly in the story, and we also had opportunities to speak with them directly and found that they were saved and occasionally attend the Baptist Union church nearby.

September – October '25: Teaching, Travel, and T-Shirts
01/11/25
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I’m writing this letter just before Thanksgiving, so you should be getting it before Christmas. The Lord has really blessed our family in many different ways, and we are so thankful that He clothed Himself in human flesh so He could humanly fulfill the law and be the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Then He offers us salvation for free. What an amazing, “unspeakable gift” (II Corinthians 9:15). May we all be diligent this December, and in the coming year, to let others know that this gift of salvation is available to them as well.
September – We have had several new people inquire about and begin Biblical counselling with us. Often, we take our life and families for granted, but when I hear the stories and see the lives of people who have broken heath, broken families, broken marriages, or children who are not living for the Lord, it is evident that, were it not for the grace of God, I could be in the same position. When people are not walking with the Lord and trying to live the Christian life in the flesh, it has devastating consequences in the long run. I am thankful for my salvation, the Lord’s calling to serve Him in Ireland, my faithful wife, my family, my kids in their Bibles every morning, my wife’s hard work homeschooling through some health issues (but nothing serious), our church having a free building to meet in, faithful people attending, and for chickens, sheep, and cats to kill the country rodents. Over the years, the Lord has provided for us in the difficult times and in the less difficult. We also have an abundance of supporting churches and individuals who pray for us and help us financially.
In church, we have been going through the Old Testament for our Sunday Bible Class, and several months ago, I started an afternoon service I call “The Picture Bible.” It covers events from the beginning of the Bible to the end, with pictures, maps, and archeological evidences. It is a family learning time, and everyone seems to be enjoying it. On Wednesdays, we finished the book of Revelation, and I began going through the Psalms. We also stopped our weekly attendance to the churches in Ennis and Galway and are now going biweekly. Eventually, we will lower this to monthly. We had four first-time visitors attend the services in September. Also this month, our family jumped back into school full force. I also dragged my feet for many months, but I finally completed Keenan’s Irish citizenship application. My mom had a major surgery in September, cleaning out her clogged arteries. She needs open-heart surgery, but the doctors don’t believe it would be wise for her in her 70s and with several health conditions. When one of the boys showed interest in visiting the college Keith II is attending, I thought to put it off for another year, but with our oldest boy still at home being 17, my mom’s bad health, and an opportunity to visit Keith II, I prayerfully decided to make the trip for three weeks at the end of September. The Lord provided the finances, some accommodations, and help with our services in the church, so it seemed to be the Lord’s will. We flew over on the 29th of September. After many years, my mother-in-law was finally able to fly out to Ireland for a couple of weeks. She arrived just before Kendrick’s birthday on the 27th and stayed for another week after the boys and I flew to the U.S.
October – We visited Keith II and the college Open House during the first week of October. After, we drove to Fort Myers, Florida, to see my parents and sister; then we got a cheap flight directly to Maine. In Maine, I have a cousin, Jason, whom I grew up with. He was recently diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, along with other rare and lethal complications, so I took the time to go see him. He had made a profession of faith when he was a teenager.
While there, I showed the boys several places from my childhood, we visited my grandparents’ gravesite, and I got to visit with my Aunt Sheila, her son, Jason, and his partner. I also met with our home-church pastor in Manchester, New Hampshire, Pastor David Carlson. I was thankful for being able to break away. It is a difficult thing in Ireland, finding someone to fill in for you who understands the mindset of the people here, especially to fill in for an extended time. This always makes me wonder why many people will only support church-planting “Pauls” but often will not support a “Silas.” Unfortunately, my wife cannot fulfill the position of a “Silas,” nor do I want her to. I am thankful for the few men, from different churches in the country, who have filled in for us over the years while we were in the USA. The problem is that they have to leave their weekly duties at their own churches. Returning to the USA for extended periods is very difficult, especially when these few men are in demand for others who have to return for family emergencies. Closing the church doors for three to six months would be an unthinkable and devastating option. One missionary had to do Zoom services from the USA, and I wondered if his people would still be there when he returned. Thankfully, they were, but they struggled. This time, Pastor Andrew Canavan from Galway and Pastor Andrew Day from Ennis were able to help with our services. Before I left, I challenged our church people to read a chapter of the book of Proverbs each day of October. I offered a special gift (a Bible T-shirt) for those who completed it, and we had seven people who were able to. At the end of the month, there was an annual Ladies’ Meeting here in Ireland. This year’s theme was “Back to Basics,” and Kelly got to take part in the services and help them prepare decorations. We were able to get a lady from our church to attend, and she also brought a friend. Kelly also brought another pastor’s wife, who came for the first time. All of the ladies came back refreshed and excited for the next one in 2026.
Soul Winning – We continue getting the Gospel out on Saturdays and encouraging our people to join us, looking for opportunities to give the Gospel, as well as handing out tracts during the week. John, one of our regular attenders who often brings visitors, brought a Catholic Polish lady one Sunday. At the end of the service, we were able to explain salvation to her several times. She had never heard it before and said she needed time to think about it. I find this to be the case all too often. Please pray that these seeds that were sown will lead her to salvation.

July-August '25: Summer Bible Camp, a Restored Life and New Visitors

Thank you for reading this letter. Your prayers and support are what make our work here possible and help us reach souls. In addition to our ministry, we have been giving eight to nine hours a week to two new works in the west of Ireland, but as they have grown in numbers and the people in their faithfulness, we can see it is time for us to begin refocusing our time toward our ministry and family. We are excited to see these new ministries thriving and to know that we got to have a small part in them. We will still be able to help for a little while, just not as frequently.
July – I had scheduled for some Bible college students from NBT (Neighbourhood Bible Time) to come and help us with our Summer Bible Camp at the end of July. I assumed we would be in a building by then, but that was not the case, so I was frantically trying to come up with solutions for them to come. When several ideas fell through, I contacted Bro. Andrew Day, who is in Ennis, and asked if he would be up to the idea of combining efforts and having the Summer Bible Camp in Ennis, since our countryside location would not be ideal. He was enthusiastic about the idea, and it was good, because I had 3 teens and a child who would be able to attend, and he had 5 children and 3 teens who would be willing to attend, so it was a larger core group than if we did it alone. I quickly found a local football club, got fliers and posters made, set up a Google form for online signups, made a website, and threw hundreds of euros into Facebook
advertisements. Once we got the fliers, people began distributing them in the Ennis area. We ended up having a great week. By the end of the week, we’d had 33 in the Summer Bible Camp, with 19 new visitors, and 21 in the Teen Rally, with 7 new visitors. The NBT evangelists also had a great spirit and were a great blessing. At the beginning of the month, we got to fellowship with some of the other missionaries in Ireland at an annual Fourth of July barbecue at Powerscourt Waterfall in the Dublin area. We had a great time and brought a piñata for the kids to enjoy at the end of our time there. Aside from the two evangelists, we didn’t have any new visitors for the month of July.
August – At the beginning of the month, I took Kelly to a nice restaurant for our anniversary, which had been on July 27. We had been busy with the Summer Bible Camp and Teen Rally and had to postpone our celebration. Keenan got to go and help Pastor Andrew Canavan in Galway with his Summer Bible Camp and spend more time with the NBT evangelists. It was during his birthday, so they bought a cake for him. When he got home, we celebrated with a trip to a Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum, dinner at a local restaurant, and then cake and presents at home. At the end of the month, one of our church members wanted to host a barbecue at her house for everyone, so after our services on a Sunday afternoon, we got to enjoy a lovely dinner at their home. I had mentioned in previous letters that Kelly and I were counselling someone who wanted help with the depression and fear they were facing. They could not manage to bring themself to church. This person was in a bad way, but after 11 weeks of being in the Word of God and with other spiritual help, they were finally able to overcome their fear, step out and attend church for the first time in years. They were saved but had not really been to church for years, so this was an incredible hurdle for them to get over, and we are thanking the Lord for the work He did and for using us to help them. Since then, they have been attending nearly every week, faithfully walking with God, and have even gone out soul winning with the church. We are so delighted for the Lord’s using us to help restore a believer. We had three new visitors in church during the month of August. I also finished our verse-by-verse study on the book of Revelation, and I am now moving to the Psalms. I recently subscribed to an online social media advertising and contact system for the church to get our name out more efficiently in the area and to build online contacts. Please pray that the Lord will use this and help draw people to our services, since we are currently in a hidden countryside location.
Soul Winning – We continue getting the Gospel out on Saturdays and have not had any significant conversations, but one of our recent visitors was a moderate Turkish Muslim man, who was very accepting of all faiths. We tried several times to tell him the Gospel, but he was resigned to his belief that all faiths are equal and we all worship God. I pointed out that Jesus said, “. . . no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” However, he ignored it. As people adopt this new ecumenical religion of the “People of Faith,” you can see how the world is moving toward the time when the antichrist will be able to easily convince people to lay aside doctrine for universal unity and join a one-world religion during the Tribulation. I’m praying that the Word of God will bring fruit in his life and that he will eventually get saved.

July – I had scheduled for some Bible college students from NBT (Neighbourhood Bible Time) to come and help us with our Summer Bible Camp at the end of July. I assumed we would be in a building by then, but that was not the case, so I was frantically trying to come up with solutions for them to come. When several ideas fell through, I contacted Bro. Andrew Day, who is in Ennis, and asked if he would be up to the idea of combining efforts and having the Summer Bible Camp in Ennis, since our countryside location would not be ideal. He was enthusiastic about the idea, and it was good, because I had 3 teens and a child who would be able to attend, and he had 5 children and 3 teens who would be willing to attend, so it was a larger core group than if we did it alone. I quickly found a local football club, got fliers and posters made, set up a Google form for online signups, made a website, and threw hundreds of euros into Facebook
August – At the beginning of the month, I took Kelly to a nice restaurant for our anniversary, which had been on July 27. We had been busy with the Summer Bible Camp and Teen Rally and had to postpone our celebration. Keenan got to go and help Pastor Andrew Canavan in Galway with his Summer Bible Camp and spend more time with the NBT evangelists. It was during his birthday, so they bought a cake for him. When he got home, we celebrated with a trip to a Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum, dinner at a local restaurant, and then cake and presents at home. May-June '25: BBQs, Revivals, and Camp

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our most recent prayer letter. May it be a blessing to all of you. We are so grateful for those of you who support us through praying and those who also support us financially. We have seen the Lord take care of our every need over the years and are thankful for the consistent support we have received as we have strived to get the Gospel out to the people in Ireland and to be a needed lighthouse in the Limerick area.
May – The month began with an annual event that has been named “First Fruits.” It is where young people from IBCs across Ireland congregate to use their talents and abilities to glorify the Lord and to hone these abilities so they can be used in the ministry.
They are challenged to do things that could be used in a church, from preaching to song leading, leading choirs, baking, taking photos, making furniture, writing, and teaching a Sunday school lesson, etc. Kelly and I participated as assessors, and the boys played a hymn together. The next Sunday was our 10-year anniversary, and we had a Mexican lady come. Someone from another part of the island discovered our Biblical counselling website and contacted us about starting. They were depressed and really struggling, so we agreed to counsel them. They have been doing really well, and the Lord is working in their heart in amazing ways. That same week, Pastor Day and I headed to Birmingham in the UK for a preaching meeting and were encouraged. Then my sister came and visited for two days. It was her first time in Ireland. She was travelling with her friend and found the roads very difficult to navigate, which is what I hear from most American visitors.
June – June began with Kelly’s birthday on the 5th. Keenan and Kendrick conspired and asked her to bake cookies with them. Then when she was somewhere else for a little while, they actually baked her a cake themselves. They cleaned up the kitchen as if nothing had happened. The next day, the boys had a piano recital, and both of them played very well; they are improving each time. Next, we had our Father’s Day BBQ, and as always, we had loads of food. It is a long story, but the Lord also allowed us to get loads of free meat from the butcher we usually use for this event. Then we attended and helped at a revival meeting that the FBMI Field Service Coordinator for the Western Hemisphere, Bro. James Belisle, was preaching in Galway.
His messages were great, Kelly got to sing, and I gave a testimony of my salvation. We got to take him to lunch the day after the revival to a limestone-mountain area called the Burren (BURR-ən). The next week was Baptist Youth Camp, where churches across the island congregated to hold a camp for the youth in Ireland. The theme was revival. Midway through the week, I found the kids early in the morning praying together in the auditorium, and by the end of the camp, the kids really seemed to have their hearts turned to God. At the end of the month, a baby was born to a couple who comes occasionally, and Kelly was able to help them with baby things that were given to her from other people. Of course, we have continued as well to go to the Thursday Bible Study in Ennis and Sunday night in Galway, but it is taking its toll on me, so I need to pray about decreasing my frequency. As far as getting into the building that I was looking at in the city, it still seems a bit high for us right now, but we will continue to pray that the Lord will open a door there. Please continue to pray for Keith II, as he has volunteered his summer to work at the Passage Northwest Summer Camp, and we have heard great reports. Also, he is in need of a driver’s license so he can get better job, but He is trusting the Lord to provide for him financially.
Soul Winning – As we continue getting the Gospel out on Saturdays, we are given some of the best opportunities to tell others the Gospel in our services and daily conversations. The Mexican lady who came for our Anniversary BBQ sat and ate with us, enjoying a delicious lunch.
As she sat with us, she got to hear the Gospel and several people’s testimonies, but unfortunately, she was not ready to trust the Lord as her Saviour and still trusted in her Catholicism. She was given a Gospel book, tracts, and a King James Bible when she left. When we were out with Bro. Belisle, we were able to get some tracts out and talk to a couple of people. One lady, who owned a chocolate factory shop, was intently engaged in a conversation with Kelly, but as soon as Kelly told her that we were Bible-believing Christians and offered to give her an invitation, she suddenly backed away and said “another time” and walked off. It reminded me of John 15:18-19, “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.” I had a look at her website later, and the lady was very open to alternative issues, but she wanted to get as far away from God as she could. Unfortunately, that choice will be eternally granted to many people. We have been studying Revelation 21-22, and it is sad to read about all that others will miss, but it is also amazing to read about the things we can look forward to.
